AMD truly disrupted the market when they released their new Ryzen processors under the Zen architecture with the Ryzen 5, and Ryzen 7 series. Now they are now competing in the entry level market with their Ryzen 3 processors.
The Ryzen 3 will be positioned as a competitor to Intel’s i3 and lower end i5 processors because the two variants, which are: Ryzen 3 1300X and Ryzen 3 1200, are both 4-core and 4-thread CPUs supported by the new AM4 platform. They are also multiplier unlocked which means that they are overclockable. These CPUs will also come included with their own Wraith Stealth coolers.
Ryzen 3 processors are now available in different retailers nationwide.
